Comments made with Different Character Encoding Sets

I noticed that some comments made by viewers end up as question marks “?”. This is apparantly caused by viewers whose browsers “Character encoding” is not a standard set. As a result browsers will not display the text properly and instead show it as “?????????”. If the comment is worthy to post, I cannot because it is not legible and must delete it.

To post a comment please change the character set encoding of your browser to – “Western European (ISO)” and “Left to Right Document”, the UTF setting is “UTF-8″. You can find the menu to change the encoding on the text menu of your browser under,

“View – Encoding” for IE
“View – Character Encoding” for Firefox,
Paper Icon – Encoding for Chrome
“View – Encoding” for Opera.

Other browsers will likely be similar.

KeyBoard Settings:

As for the keyboard settings, please use USA Standard if you can. The problem occurs when a person posts a comment using a language that is not standard. Please try to use languages settings to “English, French, German or Latin”. Unknown or unique language settings will  display as “????”. If you comment in a common language as listed and it requires translation, I will use Google language tools and post the translated comment (if the comment meets decorum rules). I cannot translate question marks “???” for obvious reasons.

Thank-you.
