Not long ago, I was in conversation with a fellow who quit the Seventh Day Adventist church because he was against it’s membership in the World Counsel of churches (WCC). He claimed that he believes in Jesus Christ, yet he quit his chosen church which preached salvation by the Bible. This saying that he quit what he believed was his chosen church and his means of salvation because of his personal disagreement with his church.

Our conversation began about the false traditions of other Christians where he spoke of his short findings about the WCC, but when he asked me if I belonged to a church and I told him, his tune quickly changed, hypocrisy and ignorance began to rear it’s ugly head.

Historic Study of the Bible

There are many other “Christians” who claim many different doctrines and beliefs as they deny this Holy Church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It can be hard to deal with some of their claims when personal revelation has not yet resolved a particular issue or concern and there seems to be difficulty resolving any dilemma that seems to exist between their beliefs and the teachings of this Church. So as you wait for God to give that piece of enlightenment, there is a way to help lead yourself to a conclusion about any concerns. The way that I am advocating is to read the history of the world in relation to the Bible.  Prepare the inner ground“Cannot be saved in ignorance” refers to the Word of God and his Law having no affect within you to quicken you. When there is no affect, it amounts to separation and outer darkness, which is a separation from God’s word. Such a person ”has no light within him”.

God’s word and law having no effect within occurs when a person chooses not to learn and grow spiritually, where the word of God and his laws are ignored or made unimportant.

To read his gospel is only part of how we overcome ignorance. To overcome ignorance requires the “tilling by the Spirit” upon our inner ground, so the word (seed) can take root and grow. Else ignorance prevails and this is liken to barren ground where no fruit can manifest.

When there is no fruit, is it not true that the Lord will burn those unfruitful trees as he said within the scriptures? Is it not true that some of those who advocate Christ but have insufficent light within them, will be told by him that he does not know them? This will occur because they refuse or fail to overcome their spiritual ignorance and as a result, “cannot be saved in ignorance”.
