…of Mormon Direction.com
IN reading many of the articles written by the General Authorities, their focus was always toward the membership. They may have, at some time, spoken to ex-members in their speeches, but I have not experienced that myself.
The purpose of this blog, “Mormon Direction.com” is to provide help to those members and ex-members that questioned their place in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to those that struggle with their faith.
This blog is not intended to replace the counsel of Church Leadership, nor try to equal to them. This blog intends to focus on the help that I can give to members who question their place in this Church, ones who struggle and need a little help and to ex-members who are reconsidering their vacancy, but have their own hurdles to overcome in the process. I believe that this is an untouched area the Church has not adequately addressed and local leaders seem to leave alone unless the member or exmember personally approaches them.
To ensure that there is an understanding of my position here with this blog, this is not a calling from the Church. This is an idea that came after I prayed about what I can do and received inspiration and this occurred just prior to the renewed call by the Leadership asking the membership to reach out via the Internet.
As I overcame personal hurdles in my life with this Church, I can share those experiences and insights with others via the Internet. It is the hopes that I can spur good thought, serious contemplation and reconsideration. If I spur growth and change, all the better, but I hope to keep the focus of this blog at an informative level.
Amen
