Ponder the account of Jesus Christ in the New Testament, where he spoke the doctrine of the Father and showed by example the principles of the Father to many in the jewish synagogues. Remember how much resistance he received from the Pharisees who disbelieved those doctrines. For example how the Phariee’s delared Jesus a violator of the Sabbath when he healed a person on that day. Jesus spoke to them “words” telling them “wisdom”, that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. How the Pharisee’s refused to listen, how wicked they were.
Remember how much the Pharisee’s demanded proof from Jesus, for example, when they challenged him asking him what authority he had to say and do things. Jesus replied with a question, as to what authority did John the Baptist have to baptize, that if they answered rightly then he would answer their question. Well, the Pharisee refused to answer and by that Jesus also refused.
These examples in the gospel show wickedness causing disbelief. How the adulterous generation always demands proof of the truth and wisdom spoken by the faithful. Paul and the other apostles were persecuted and some killed because of the very wise and truthful words spoken. No proof given to those wicked who demanded proof. Jesus remained silent and answered none of Pilate’s questions.
When a person who has been taught by the Spirit, he/she will speak in a certain manner, the words will ring true. Those who are faithful to God and listen to the Spirit will hear those words and understand. The wicked will respond with disbelief or ridicule, some demanding proof. Closed hearts and minds they have.
These examples from the gospel show that we are not to bother with the wicked who disbelieve. The pearls among swine is the statement from Christ that warns us to spend no time explaining to the wicked. The example here on this blog is a person who demands and taunts that this Holy Church is a cult, with captial letters. This shows his emotional conviction against the Church and my words. The message, therefore, that comes from this is spend no time, or spend little time explaining things to those who choose wickedness, for the wicked only seek to deny and reject, no matter what is said.
Many times the Lord tells us to humble ourselves and be sincere in the things we ask of him in prayer. Ever wonder why? The “spirit” of the mind and heart that we choose to be in is the very spirit that God will accept or deny. If God, the all intelligent and wise being, rejects and ignores a haughty, selfish, demanding spirit that expects proof to the very words of wisdom or the gospel truths, then why would we spent time explaining things to the wicked? None I say, because the wicked are bent on denying you.
Ever wonder why, to some of our prayers asking for confirmation to wisdom or truth given by God through the Holy Ghost, that God does not confirm? Consider that if there is doubt in our minds and hearts to his truth, what spirit of the heart and mind do we have that is asking? If we always approach the answers given by God to us with doubt, we will not get any confirmation at all because we must learn to put aside doubt and have faith. To move forward in faith will result in the confirmation for sure.
To the sincere and to the humble, we can change and further our spiritual connection to God, learning by mistakes and errors, but the wicked, they will have none of it. Satan therefore has their heart. Sincerity and honesty are further from their minds and hearts than the moon is from the earth.
Listen not to the wicked, for the spirit they carry and abide in, is from Satan.
To the truly sincere and humble, those shall inherit the kingdom of God and to those will God answer. So it shall be for us, the faithful to God and his Church.
Amen
