I am sure that there are some detractors of this LDS Church that would claim, after reading my blog articles and testimony, that if another church had pursued my membership with them instead of the Mormon missionaries, then I would have easily become a member of another church.

I say this to those who claim that, -humbug!

Here is why.

Before the missionaries walked up to me and introduced themselves, I had no personal interest in joining any other church for any long term membership. I attended several different churches in my years from childhood to adulthood, which includes the Catholic church, but none did I join.

My lack of personal interest to join any church was based on many personal reasons and in general I resisted other churches. In reflection, not one of the other Christian churches in this world had the support of the Lord. It was only one Church that the Lord introduced to me and that was the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

If a person tries to claim that I could have easily joined another church shows that he/she has no clue and no understanding as to the workings, influence and power of the Holy Ghost, which says that they are disbelievers of the Holy Spirit.

It was not by personal interest, not by convincing words or beliefs, not by personal agenda’s, neither was I forced to be in any church, let alone the LDS Church. It was by the influence of the Holy Ghost that I entered the LDS Church and by the Holy Ghost, caused me to remain.

If another church came to me and tried to convince me to join, I would have listened, but surely chose to avoid membership with them because being there was no supported by the Holy Ghost.

If you read my testimony, you will find it did not include an experience I had before the appearance of the Mormon Missionaries, where I did attend another Christian church in Vernon. While sitting in that church listening to the pastor speak negatively of things that I believed in at that time, while proclaiming Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost spoke to my mind saying,

“He who preaches separation will live the faith of separation not the faith of God”.

Once I understood those words impressed into my mind and heart, I left that church, never to return.

There was no other church that I read about, heard about, passed along the way, that drew so much support from the Holy Spirit as did the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The lack of support by the Holy Ghost for any other church would have left me in my disinterest and hence I would not have joined another church. The Holy Ghost knew how to bypass my general lack of interest in Christian churches and knew how to interest me. No other church had that power or influence.

The root of my reason for being in this Church, is the “Holy Ghost”. A witness and confirmation that could never be beat by any person or contrary claim.

I say this in the name of Jesus Christ
Amen.
