The Antagonizers

No this is not a TV show series from Britain. This is about people out there that will antagonize and find any perceived fault of another person just to degrade someone else’s beliefs. The Apostles of this Church have repeatedly warned about trying to find fault with each other, with Church leaders or this Church itself. By the same principle that sustains that counsel, it includes how we interact with the world. Why is this? It is because it attracts and calls upon the spirit of falsehood, an ill spirit.

Finding fault or to create upset has, in itself, no intrinsic value. It’s prime purpose is to diminish, to undermine and is used by those who want to impose themselves upon others or have control over someone else. Not to find fault is hard for the inbred Antagonizers. This is because their lives are focused on errors or complaint and seek to get their way. They are a very selfish people and inbred antagonizers do not last very long as members of this Church because they sustain and harbor a very selfish and ill spirit, so when we see “ex-mormon’s” who continue to antagonize, then we can see why they left the Church. They did not worship God, as per the first commandment.

To these antagonizing people, they remain in a state of misery and carry an ill spirit. There is no light in them simply because they follow a darkening spirit, the “Antagonizer spirit”.

Remember long ago in smaller communities of how the towns people get together to give of their skill, time, money and materials to help a neighbour in need of repair to their house, or help build a needed barn, or build a local church? What of those countless hours and materials put in by women’s groups to help the needy? Is this not the same “spirit” promoted by others who care about their community or care for others?

What of the “organizations” that exist that canvass for financial support for the homeless, the hungry, the destitute in other countries? What of your “tax dollars” spent by the government when sending aid to devastated areas to supply food, water, clothing, housing and medical supplies?

All of these examples show the principle of consecration, the giving of one’s substance to others in need. It shows the principle of sacrifice, to give one’s own time at no cost, to give in any way to those in need. These are the basic principles of the gospel and God’s people have practiced these principles for centuries from the Old Testament times to the current day.

Jacques-Louis David - sorrow

Isaiah spoke of this as the method of God of how he teaches us by his Spirit, but did you know that this is also the way he brings us to overcome our problems and shortcomings? After all, what do you think would be the way that God uses to brings us affliction, trial or tribulation?

Within the Book of Mormon, it teaches us that God gave us weaknesses so that we may be made humble ( Ether 12:27, 28, 35, 37 ). God also said that he will show our weakness to show that faith, hope and charity bringeth unto God and through weakness we can be made strong, but what God shows from these weaknesses are things that are not easily perceived. This means that no matter how hard you may try identify your own weaknesses, you will not be able to find how they are constructed and integrated into your mind and heart. To see into the heart, to know what lays there affecting you life, God is required.

Do you believe that you can still do this on your own?

I am sure that some members have faced some confusion between the meaning of “walking by the Spirit” (Gal. 5: 16, 25) and obeying the laws of God, when faced with the claims by other Christians that faith is the only thing required and there is no law, or that we are not under the law because Jesus nailed that to the cross.  This can contribute to some confusion to those who are converts to the Church because for some or many, the influence from the world is still a factor in their lives and most other Christians are of the world. So is there understanding and resolution to these dilemmas?

The Judas Syndrome

The “Judas Syndrome”, as I named it, refers to the act of betrayal to the faith of God and perpetuating lies or falsehoods against the Lord and his followers. The act of betrayal occurs within the faithful group as Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus Christ.

This syndrome is quite prevalent today. Anti-Mormon’s use the errors or apostate acts by certain members to declare the doctrine of this Church as false or declare this Church and it’s members as evil.

How easily the Anti-Mormon’s forget the story of Judas, an apostle chosen by Jesus himself, brought into the fold of God. Judas betrayed Jesus by taking a bribe to turn Jesus over to the Romans. This story and example of Judas is what we see today. How some members have betrayed their faith in God to partake of sin. Of course Satan wants this. By leading some members to fall to sin, he knows that the ignorance of others will use that as an example against the Church and spread rumours and lies. This is why God called Satan as the “father of all lies”.

Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

I have not seen this before. Usually with Anti-Mormon’s they are severely adverse to claiming they believe in this Church and that the Book of Mormon is true. Unfortunately now, I see that evil has no objection in claiming the Prophet and Book of Mormon are true while perpetrating evil.

I have always wondered if this would be a fact and recently I found that it is.  Evil will claim the very things we would expect the faithful claim. This says that evil can claim that Jesus is the Son of God and that he is the Saviour, while injecting evil in subtle ways and twisted ways.

I write this entry to warn others about this fact. To alert others that they need to “hear” or “read” more before finding if who is before them is either good or evil.

Have you ever felt despair, felt that nothing goes right and all seems gloomy? In this you may experience that there are no apparent answers, no way out, or that the down and out events just keep repeating themselves? Have you experienced constant disappointment, that no matter what you did, very little progressed and changed? Again this may have led to feelings and thoughts of despair?

In any of these states of mind and heart, have you been able to see clearly and see answers to your dilemma’s?

Living the life of a Saint is not an easy task, because we are asked by the Lord to live spiritually, not worldly. We are to abide in the principles set forth in the gospel. We are to move ourselves away from the wiles of the flesh and remain chaste and virtuous.

To add to this daunting task, we received the Word of Wisdom from God which addresses the more simple things the world enjoys on a regular and daily basis. You know these things; liquor, coffee, tea, cigarettes, etc.

With all that we are tasked to do in order to remain a Saint, pure and virtuous, we must contend with the natural desires that come with mortality. As we move along, at times with much effort, we have our wishes and desires for things of the world. We are not human if these desires are absent.
