Then, whistle while you work.

The toil and chores of daily worldly life can be taxing, such that it wears on you and seems to drain or sap your energy and enthusiasm. The toil and chores are not just house work or yard work, it refers to the ups and downs of life, your trials and sufferings, frustrations, angers, upsets, burdens and of course, even issues (don’t have issues, then your not paying attention).

So many members just do not know that these daily life toils and chores will have an affect upon faith and belief. So much so that a person can become disillusioned with the Church or people in it because of personal matters of life they struggle with.

Recent events in Texas with the raid on the FLDS (Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) compound may bring back the confusion that led many people to perceive LDS as the same as the FLDS, in particular the issue of plural marriage.

There is a new website created by the Church. The site is called, “Jesus Christ, The Son of God” and is located at: http://jesuschrist.lds.org/SonOfGod/eng/?cid=wpats1.

I commend the Church for doing this and I say it is long overdue. To display direct doctrine and content about Jesus Christ is a strong and positive move against the aggravators who discount our doctrine of Jesus Christ.

For those who have your own personal blog or websites, I encourage you to post there about this new LDS website about Jesus Christ

Temptation - Carnal or Spiritual?

…and a spiritual mind is one made by faith, not just belief.

Our weakness is found in the things of the carnal mind, the temporal desires that, at times, seem to overwhelm our spiritual focus and faith. It is through this one weakness, the state of mind and heart created by the carnal mind that Satan gets some of his best work done. This is where temptations and carnal desires are felt and experienced. Is it any wonder that the word of God clearly states that the carnal mind is an “enmity” to him?
